Important Features
With Disability Income Insurance, you have coverage 24 hours a day, seven days a week for disabilities resulting from sickness or job-related or recreational activities.
Once coverage is effective, your coverage automatically renews by paying the renewal premium applicable for your particular age. The coverage will only end if you do not pay the premium when due, reach age 70, you begin active military service, or elect to end your coverage.
You may choose a Waiting Period of 30, 60, 90, 180, or 365 days. The Waiting Period is the number of consecutive days you must be totally disabled by a covered illness or accident before benefit payments begin. There are lower premiums for choosing waiting periods longer than 30 days.
See the plan brochure for additional information.
